Every year the fire department receives operating grants from the Municipality of the County of Annapolis and the Town of Annapolis Royal, which cover approximately three quarters of the department’s operating budget. The balance of funds comes from individual donations - people like you! Your donation will help us to train firefighters, purchase new equipment, and maintain fire trucks. Thank you for helping us to protect our community.

IN BEQUEST:
Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department is a registered charity organization. All donations will receive a tax receipt upon request.
Dorothy Thorne, a long time resident of Granville Ferry, believed in community and the role of individuals in making a difference. Dorothy also believed in the Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department. As a lasting gift, Dorothy left a bequest to the department, which was used, in part, for the purchase of Rescue 31. This firetruck is our principal response vehicle for motor vehicle accidents, water and ice rescues as well as providing support for fire suppression. Thank you Dorothy!
